FAQS

Why should I choose a Shower Door of USA enclosure?

Our goal is to produce elegant enclosures that are practical, elegant and affordable. From design through installation our staff strives to provide you with quality products that combine beauty and functionality for years to come.

STANDARD SHOWERS DOORS  ENCLOSURES

  • Why should I choose a Standard Framed Enclosure?

Our standard framed doors are of the highest quality. Most of our doors carry a 10 year limited warranty manufactured by an ISO 9001 company. These doors are certainly more affordable than our custom designed doors, but the price differential is attributable to volume manufacturing not quality differences.
  • What thickness of glass is used?

    4mm or 3/16"glass.
  • What type of glass is used?

    Tempered Safety Glass.
  • Are there different colours or patterns of glass are used?

Clear glass is most commonly used. Frosted raindrop pattern glass or baked enamel white horizontal stripes are available too.
  • Can the doors be installed to swing into the shower?

No! Safety standards require all doors to open outwards. If a person collapses inside of the enclosure, it could be difficult to open the door in an emergency.
  • How long does it take to get product for supply only?

Most standard doors and tub enclosures are stock items. If not 3 to 5 day delivery.
  • How long does it take for supply and installation?

Installed standard doors generally take 1 week from time of order to installation.
  • Are these doors difficult to install?

Shower doors require drilling into tile or marble, the ability to use a level, talent to apply silicone sealant in a professional manner. If you are handy with tools, you should be able to install yourself - if not, hire a professional!

  •
  • FRAMELESS SHOWER DOORS & ENCLOSURES

    • Why should I choose a Frameless Enclosure?

Frameless doors give your room a larger, more open feeling. Cleaning is easier with more glass and less metal-to-glass contact. Frameless doors with clear glass show off the beautiful wall tile or marble. The heavy glass provides a feeling of luxury and durability.
    • What thickness of glass is used?

      3/8" (10mm) glass or 1/2" (12mm) glass.
    • What type of glass is used?

      Tempered safety glass
    • Are there different colours or patterns of glass are used?

Clear glass is most commonly used. Frosted or sandblasted glass is popular too.
    • How long does it take before it is installed?

Approximately 3 weeks from date of measurement.
    • When can you measure?

Only when all the tile or marble has been installed.
    • We know what the finished size will be, why can't you order the shower door based upon these measurements?

There is very little adjustment on custom enclosures. The glass is cut to fit precisely. It is very risky to order the glass prior to finishing the enclosure.
    • Can the doors be installed to swing into the shower?

Yes! Only frameless doors that have double acting hinges can swing both inwards and outwards. This is a great advantage in confined areas where there is insufficient room to open the door outwards. Framed doors swing outwards only.
    • What colour of hinges are available?

    • How is the pricing calculated?

All custom projects are quoted on an individual basis.
    • Can you give me a ball park price base on a standard door 26" wide by 72" high?
